Mote Park Veterinary Surgery offers a wide range of nurse clinics. This involves a 10 minute appointment with the nurse, usually between 11am and 4pm weekdays, and 10am to 12pm on Saturdays.
Some animals can be difficult to give flea and worming treatment to at home; therefore experienced nursing staff are available to administer tablets and spot-on treatments.
If you are concerned your animal is under or over weight, nursing staff are available to advise you on diet and exercise and to monitor their progress.
Over a period of time, if an animals teeth are not regularly brushed, tartar can build up on their teeth. This often causes unpleasant smelling breath and discomfort for the animal when eating. Nursing staff are able to check your animals teeth and advise you on the methods of reducing the tartar build up. They can also advise clients regarding a descale and polish of the teeth under a general anaesthetic.
If your animal's nails are not maintained at a short length from regular walking on concrete or scratching, the nursing staff are available to safely clip their nails back to a more comfortable length.
